Script Readings

We’re getting ready! We’re getting closer and closer to our first shoot day for ‘Life, Camera, Awkward’ in November and we couldn’t be more excited (AND TERRIFIED - but mostly excited!). We’ve been doing a few script readings and getting feedback from different people but getting them read out aloud by some of our brilliant actors is very exciting. Stay tuned!

West Projections Festival

August was very exciting for Jamie who was involved with the project FENCES/WALLS led by artist David Porteus with percussionist Chrissy Chan as part of the West Projections Festival in August 2019.

FENCES/WALLS look at the structures that have come to represent ‘home’ and more particularly, ownership, and re-examined them as percussion instruments.

Screen Makers Conference 2019

We were very excited to attend our very first event as She and the Others, the 2019 Screen Makers Conference presented by the Media Resource Centre in Adelaide, Australia.

We had a fantastic time attending various panels and roundtables, and even had our very first chance to pitch an idea. The Screen Makers Conference is the leading event for emerging and early-career screen content makers across Australia and we’d highly recommend it!

SatO at the Movies!

They’re back and so are we!

To celebrate the return of the men (and women) in black we are holding a special fundraiser screening in one of the gorgeous extreme screen cinemas, with lush recliners, at HOYTS District Docklands.

We can’t wait to see what the dynamic duo of the unstoppable Tessa Thompson and Aussie Chris Hemsworth have in store for us. With a secondary legendary Thompson (Emma) in the mix, we are sure it’s going to be fun.

It’s finished! Our incredible Indiegogo campaign has all closed up this weekend and we are so thrilled with the response we received from our community. We raised over six thousand dollars which is an enormous effort, from over a hundred contributors. Thank you so much to those who donated.

Thank you also to the wonderful pooches and their families for helping us out with our doggo countdown, if you missed them and still want to check them out click the pic to head to our gallery!

French Film Festival Opening Gala

We had such a great time at the Alliance Française French Film Festival Melbourne Opening Night Gala this week. The film ‘En liberté!’ was marvellous and très drôle! It was nice to take a moment out of our crazy lives, we spend most of our spare time working on our Indiegogo campaign! If you haven’t checked it out you can just click the picture and it will take you there. Merci beaucoup to all our fabulouse funders so far, they are très magnifique!

Fundraising (Part 2)

We were so thrilled to launch our business to the people over the weekend with two fantastic trivia nights, filled with brand new She and the Others fans. It was an incredible feeling for us to have so many people come out and support us, and if you were one of them, thanks so much again.

We now head into the second phase of our fundraising, CROWDFUNDING! You can click on the picture and head to our Indiegogo page to read all about it!

Project Announcement!

She and the Others are excited to announce our very first project! It’s a Web Series called…

Life, Camera, Awkward

This comedy follows the lives of two best friends, Lily and Millie, who make the move to Melbourne to try their luck in the big city. Lily is loudly determined to ‘make it’ as an actor, while Millie is silently determined to simply discover her purpose. This series celebrates the humour and warmth in our everyday relationships, the shared experience in our everyday anxieties, and draws on the connected female perspective to proudly tell our story.

Production for Life, Camera, Awkward will commence in May 2019, and will be released in late 2019.

Hi! Thanks for stopping by our new website! We hope you love it (even though it’s just the basics for now). She and the Others is currently developing a new web series to be announced soon, that will hit your screens late 2019! We are working with some wonderful and hilarious women on this series who we know you are going to love. We can’t tell you much more than that right now, but standby for more information and follow us on our socials to hear first. We can’t wait to tell you everything about it!
